A lifelong resident of South Orange, Sherry Zimmerman Weintraub was first introduced to the extraordinary efforts of the South Orange Rescue Squad when her father required their lifesaving skills. Soon after her father's death the Zimmerman family, owners of Brick Church Appliances, donated new appliances to the Squad house on Third Avenue in memory of him. Sherry then became more familiar with the needs and workings of the organization and recognized the enormous impact it had on the town she loves.

She joined the South Orange Rescue Squad in 1990. Her devotion can be found in every part of the organization where she has served as corresponding secretary, treasurer, marketing, fundraising and now president. She is a tireless worker to the cause of lifesaving and has seen to the needs of dozens of EMT volunteers. Without Sherry's encouragement and dedication the squad would not function as it has for these twenty years. The residents of South Orange, and of Maplewood where the squad makes hundreds of out-of-town calls, are indebted to her for her selfless devotion.

Join us as residents, businesses, friends, her family, and her fellow volunteers join to honor Sherry on the occasion of her 20th year on the South Orange Rescue Squad.
